Seaview Terrace Donnybrook
A Georgian Oasis
Wine, whiskey and literature are the dominant themes running through the history of this attractive terrace of six houses - the only Georgian development in this part of Donnybrook, Dublin. Designed by church architect, John Semple Junior, it was home to novelist Anthony Trollope in the 1850s. A hundred years later another writer who lived here, Frank McCourt, turned his flat upside down looking for Trollope's lost manuscript. The lands containing Seaview Terrace also had a particularly dark medieval past. Or so it was thought.....
